Abilene Center for Orthopedic and Multis specialty Surgery in Abilene, TX is seeking a motivated Scrub Tech to join the surgical team. You will maintain a sterile environment, assist surgeons and nurses, and help ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes hands-on preparation, instrument handling, and adherence to sterile technique in a fast-paced operating room.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-high school Surgical Technology program.
• CST or CORT certification.
• One year of experience in a surgical setting.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sterile field and uphold aseptic technique.
• Assist surgical team by passing instruments, supplies, sutures, and equipment.
• Prepare equipment, instruments, and operating rooms before procedures.
• Assist with scrubbing, gowning, and gloving for the surgical team.
• Prepare dressings and assist with postoperative bandage application.
• Operate, adjust, and monitor surgical and sterilization equipment.
• Position and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring safety.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts.
• Clean and restock the operating room after procedures.
• Support accreditation and departmental standards and confidentiality.
• Assist with supply and equipment maintenance and timely documentation.
• Respond quickly to changing patient or surgical needs.

• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures
