Job summary

UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a 90% FTE night shift at UW Health Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Rockford area. You will work on-site at 1350 Charles St.

This role offers night-time and weekend differentials of $4/hr and $3.25/hr, plus standard overtime/pay as applicable, with a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program (or military surgical technologist training) and CPR/BLS

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Two years of related clinical experience in a military setting.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification or equivalent required within 1 year of hire.

Work Schedule:

90% FTE, Night shift, you will work at UW Health Women's and Children's Hospital 1350 Charles St.

Additional components of compensation include impressive shift differentials

$3/ hr evening, $4 hr night, and $3.25/ hr weekend shift differential as applicable for hours worked.

Additional components of compensation may include overtime and on-call pay

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, a recognized military surgical technologist training program, or possess two years of related clinical experience in a military setting. Required or
• For employees hired before January 2022, no minimum education required. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred at time of hire; required within 1 year of assuming position. In lieu of certification, will consider five years of surgical technologist experience and successful completion of surgical technologist education program or other education program which includes aseptic techniques and operative procedures. Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification. Required
