Job summary

UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a Surgical Tech for a part-time, 80% FTE schedule with day/evening shifts. The role includes a weekend rotation and on-call obligations, with potential sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified applicants.

The successful candidate will prepare the Operating Room, assist during complex procedures, and anticipate surgeons’ needs in a fast-paced environment. Strong BLS/CPR certification is required within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program is required.
• Two (2) years of Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of completion of a Surgical Technologist program.

Work Schedule

Part-time, 80% FTE, day/evening. Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm, weekend rotation required. This position also include a weekend, weekday and holiday on-call obligations. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay

This position may be eligible for up to a $12,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program Required

Work Experience

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program Preferred
• 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support/CPR certification within 6 months Required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Preferred
