Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months Surgical Technologist experience or be a graduate of an accredited program.
• BLS certification in hand before start date, valid for 60 days post-hire.
• Must be able to handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment and assist with patient positioning.
• Account for instruments passed to the physician during surgery.
• Process specimens for lab delivery.

Schedule

Full Time, 40 hours per pay period (2 weeks); Shift: Days.

Pay

$27.61 - $41.41 / hour, dependent on relevant experience.

Job Type

Onsite role; no hybrid or remote option.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must work in a fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
• Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration plus Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• Experience: 6 months Surgical Technologist experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• BLS/CPR: BLS via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, card in hand before start date and valid for 60 days from hire.
