Position Summary: Provides assistance to surgeons and residents by selecting, organizing, anticipating, and passing surgical instruments, medical supplies, and equipment, as well as providing retraction under the surgeon's direction.

What the Surgical Technologist Will Do:

1. Maintain the highest standard of aseptic technique during all operative procedures, including surgical attire, hand scrub, gowning, gloving, boundary management, and traffic control.
2. Identify breaches in aseptic technique and implement corrective interventions.
3. Perform all phases of reprocessing, including decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, documentation, and troubleshooting parameter failures.
4. Perform other related duties as assigned.

What the Surgical Technologist Will Need:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (minimum).
• Preferred: Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology.
• Certification or recertification in CPR within one month of hire.
• Preferred: NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Familiarity with standard desktop and Windows-based computer systems, including email, e-learning, intranet, and navigation.
• Ability to use other software required for essential functions.
