Job summary

Boulder Centre for Orthopedics & Spine is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the OR team. You will prepare and maintain sterile fields, assemble instruments, and provide intraoperative support to surgeons and staff in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program with Colorado CST and BCLS certification, plus at least one year of OR scrub experience; ambulatory surgery experience is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Current Colorado CST and BCLS certification required.
• One year of operating room scrub experience required.
• Previous ambulatory surgery experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain sterile field and protect patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care during surgical procedures.
• Plan, prepare, and assemble sterile supplies and instruments for surgeries.
• Handle sterile surgical instruments to maintain a sterile field.
• Set up operating rooms based on physician preferences and optimize workflow.
• Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards.
• Assist in surgery and postoperative tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
• Stay informed about advancements in orthopedic surgical technology and participate in ongoing education and training.

Job Overview:

Join our team as a Surgical Technologist at our state-of-the-art Orthopedic Surgery Center. In this role, you will be a vital member of the surgical team, ensuring procedures run efficiently and safely from start to finish. You will prepare and maintain a sterile operating room, organize and manage surgical instruments and equipment, and provide direct intraoperative support to surgeons and clinical staff. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to anticipate surgical needs will directly contribute to exceptional patient outcomes. Essential Duties:

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care during surgical procedures.

• Set up operating rooms based on physician preferences and optimize workflow.
• Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards.
• Assist in surgery and postoperative tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
• Stay informed about advancements in orthopedic surgical technology and participate in ongoing education and training.
• Possess knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, surgical instrumentation, and sterilization procedures.
• Maintain organizational skills, act to maintain sterility, and ensure patient safety through rational thought and aseptic techniques.

Technical Competency

• Possess knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
