Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Versailles is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for our Operating Room. This PRN position follows a Mon–Fri 8-hour shift schedule as needed, contributing to a collaborative, patient-focused surgical team.

The OR team performs a range of procedures with emphasis on sterile technique and efficiency. Applicants should have a CST credential or be eligible, a current BLS, and a high school diploma, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• CST credential (or eligibility to obtain) within a specified timeframe.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, including instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating surgical needs.
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies to ensure patient safety.
• Handle, label, and maintain specimens according to protocol.
• Clean, sterilize, and restock surgical instruments and operating rooms following procedures.

What We're Looking For
