Job summary

Clara Maass Medical Center in New Jersey seeks a Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team in the Operating Room. You will assist with instrumentation, patient care, and safety protocols under the supervision of the perioperative RN.

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, 37.5 hours weekly. The ideal candidate has completed an accredited surgical technologist program, holds a CST credential, and maintains current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Current CST credential or equivalent mandatory.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that supports safe patient outcomes in the OR.
• Anticipate surgeon instrumentation and equipment needs during cases.
• Collaborate with perioperative RN to provide age-specific patient care.
• Ensure sterile technique and compliance with safety protocols.
• Assist with patient positioning and intraoperative handling as needed.

Education

Surgical Technologist program (accredited)

Certified Surgical Technologist credential (NBSTSA) or equivalent

BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
