Job summary

Dignity Health's Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the OR team. You will prepare the operating room and instruments, assist the surgical team, maintain a sterile environment, and help ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma, graduate of a surgical tech program, two years or less of clinical experience, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Surgical Tech Program.
• Two years or less of surgical technologist clinical experience preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist circulating nurses with setup per physician preference and hospital protocol.
• Handle laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol.
• Assist the Surgeon during procedures and prepare patient/equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in ongoing in-services.
