St. Charles Surgery Center in Saint Charles, MO is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist in surgical operations under supervision, ensuring sterile technique and efficient OR setup.

The role supports surgeons and nurses, performs duties per accreditation standards, participates in ongoing education, and benefits include medical/dental, 401k matching, PTO, maternity leave, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years hospital main operating room experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties ethically and legally within certification scope.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Scrubs all types of cases performed by the company.
• Anticipates needs of Surgeons; ensures equipment and supplies are ready.
• Participates in continuing education and Quality Assurance programs.
• Operates OR equipment and maintains sterile technique.
• Prepares and positions patient for surgery; assists in case setup.
• Gathers supplies and assists with orientation of new staff.
• Contributes to a healthy work environment and teamwork.
