Idaho Falls Community Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the perioperative team. You will assist surgeons at the sterile field, set up instruments and supplies, maintain aseptic technique, and support the circulator before, during, and after operative procedures.

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician Program with current BLS; certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred, and operating room experience is a plus.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician Program. A Surgical Technologist certification is preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and perform surgical cases by assembling equipment and supplies.
• Open sterile packs, supplies, and instruments following sterile technique.
• Prepare sterile field, including counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Ensure sterility of supplies and instrumentations used during procedures.
• Assist circulator and surgeon by passing instruments and supporting the team.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfer as directed.
• Adhere to aseptic principles and efficient use of supplies.
