Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist IV to join the perioperative team. You will set up procedures, maintain sterile fields, and assist the circulating nurse under surgeon supervision.

A strong focus on asepsis and safety is required, with ongoing collaboration within the OR team. Requirements include a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician Program, certification as a Surgical Technologist, and a minimum of 5 years OR experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform surgical cases by assembling equipment and supplies per physician preference.
• Open sterile packs and maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure.
• Prepare sterile field with counts for sponge, needle, and instrument as needed.
• Assist in cleaning, decontaminating instruments, and disposal of used supplies.
