Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Surgical Technician to support surgical cases at the Fostoria facility. You will prepare for procedures and maintain sterile technique throughout operations, collaborating closely with the circulating nurse to ensure instrument counts and sterility.

The role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to department guidelines. candidates should be a high school graduate with surgical technology or LPN training, and CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program or LPN educational program.
• Current, unencumbered LPN licensure in state of employment if hiring into LPN capacity.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and manage surgical cases.
• Maintain sterile field integrity using aseptic technique and address breaks promptly.
• Work with circulating nurse to maintain accurate counts of sponges, instruments, and sharps per department guidelines.
