Responsibilities include setting up sterile fields, passing instruments, assisting with skin grafts and sutures, and maintaining aseptic technique while ensuring patient safety during procedures.

Qualificações

• United States Citizenship is required.
• May qualify under Grandfathering Provision for current VA employees.
• GS-07 level requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06.
• Experience in applying knowledge to perform duties and ensure safety and infection control.
• Preferred: 2 years' Surgical Tech experience in OR or ambulatory surgery, National Surgical Technician certification.

Responsabilidades

• Function as primary scrub with handling of instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Set up sterile field and prepare required equipment for procedures.
• Plan and discuss procedures with surgical professionals and ensure supplies are available.
• Prepare and maintain complex sterile surgical setups.
• Assist surgeon by passing instruments, preparing skin grafts, suctioning, and applying staples.
• Maintain OR area and handle front desk/phone calls as assigned.
