Marshall Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician who will be part of the nursing staff, maintaining sterile fields and passing instruments to surgeons during procedures. The role includes assisting with turnover and preparing the OR for the next patient, while upholding MMC’s standards of care.

The technician will help manage stock levels, interact with patients and staff, and ensure safe handling of infectious materials. NBSTSA certification is preferred and BLS is required.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved Operating Room Technician (ORT) course required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the NBSTSA preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Computer familiarity required.
• Has the physical and mental health sufficient to perform the duties of an ORT.

Mansioni

• Maintain a sterile field and pass instruments to the surgeon.
• Disassemble sterile field after procedures and decontaminate instruments.
• Assist with turnover of the operating room and setup for next patient.
