Job summary

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a Surgical Technician for Labor Delivery. This 0.6 FTE night shift is 7pm–7:30am, with two 12-hour shifts per week and rotating weekends. You will work closely with the surgical team to support procedures and maintain sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited surgical technology program and active NBSTSA/JCAHPO/NCCT certification.
• Active military or Public Health Service training program with CE requirements.
• Grandfathered experience in ASC/hospital/government with CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon and surgical team during procedures by providing sutures, supplies, instruments and equipment while maintaining sterile technique.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Education

CAAHEP/ABHES surgical technology program with NBSTSA/JCAHPO/NCCT certification

Armed forces or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps training program with 16 hours CE every two years

Grandfathered experience in ASC/hospital/federal government agency between Jan 1, 2014 and Jan 1, 2017 with 16 hours CE every two years
