Job summary

Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a Surgical Technician II to support the OR team before, during, and after procedures while maintaining sterile technique and instrument readiness.

You will scrub and assist during surgeries, prepare sterile fields and supplies, anticipate surgeon needs, and contribute to patient safety, comfort, and privacy. This role requires 1+ year acute care experience, CST, and BLS, with growth opportunities within perioperative services.

Qualifications

• Recent acute care experience as Surgical Technician preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OR procedures and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist during surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and surgical equipment.

• Prepare instruments and supplies based on surgical procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation and perioperative care.

• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives.
