About the Team

Our surgical team is a multi-disciplinary team comprised of surgeons, CRNAs, nurses, surgery technologists, and more. From family medicine providers performing C-Sections to orthopedic specialists reconstructing ACLs, our three operating rooms provide variety each day for all involved with the surgical services team.

Mission for Position

Provide an exceptional surgical experience for patients that align with Lakewood Health’s mission, vision, and values from admission, to discharge, and after care.

Position Summary

Provide personalized care for the surgical patient by working as an integral member of the surgical team. Acquires, prepares and handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for procedures, and maintains aseptic and sterile technique as well as the sterile field. The Surgical Technologist ensures that necessary equipment functions properly and that patient safety is maintained throughout the operative procedure. Is an expert in the principles of asepsis and possess the knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and instruments to help facilitate the physician’s implementation of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

Position Type

• This is a full-time position
• Weekends and Holidays will be on-call and on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist credentials preferred but not required
• BLS certification required
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must be able to take initiative to complete tasks and be self-motivated.
• Ability to take call shifts with arrival and readiness to the Department within 30 minutes.
• Flexibility with scheduling and assignments
