Job summary

CenterPoint Health - Paris is seeking a talented Surgical Technician (CST) to join our OR team on a PRN basis with 12-hour shifts. You will support surgeons, maintain sterile conditions, and help ensure precise instrument handling and patient safety in a dynamic operating room.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma, graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program, CST credential or eligibility, and a current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is preferred or eligible to obtain.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, including instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating surgical needs.
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies to ensure patient safety.
• Handle, label, and maintain specimens according to protocol.
• Clean, sterilize, and restock surgical instruments and operating rooms following procedures.
