Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Paris, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Surgical Technician (CST) to support the OR team in a full-time, days schedule. The role involves preparing sterile surroundings, assisting surgeons, performing counts, and maintaining specimens per protocol.

Applicants should have a CST credential (or eligibility), a completed Surgical Technology program, and a current BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or eligibility.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, including instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating surgical needs.
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies to ensure patient safety.
• Handle, label, and maintain specimens according to protocol.
• Clean, sterilize, and restock surgical instruments and operating rooms following procedures.
