Job summary

MercyOne Health System is hiring a Surgical Technician, CST for the Operating Room. The role focuses on scrub duties during intraoperative patient care under perioperative RN supervision, aligned with system standards.

The position, in Iowa, offers a day shift and full-time schedule with a 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. CST certification is optional in Iowa but required in Illinois. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or complete a surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
• LPN with surgical experience acceptable; or equivalent to demonstrate competency.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa; required if working in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Scrub role during intraoperative patient care under supervision of the perioperative RN.
• Support the operating room team with adherence to standards and patient safety.
