Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Iowa is seeking a Surgical Technician, CST for the Operating Room. The full-time role features day shift (10am–6:30pm) and a 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week) schedule, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include scrub duties under perioperative RN supervision and maintaining sterile technique.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, or LPN with surgical experience; CST preferred in Iowa. BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or equivalent.
• Or LPN with surgical experience; or equivalent competency.
• CST certification preferred in Iowa; required in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Scrub role in intraoperative patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with instrument handling and sterile technique.
• Provide support for operating room team and patient safety.
