Job summary

CHI Williston Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Surgical Tech to prep ORs, assist surgeons, and maintain sterile technique across procedures. You’ll join a team delivering patient care from disease to healing with emphasis on safety and teamwork. Requirements: Surgical Technologist Program, CST/CSFA, UAP:ND, BLS CPR. Sign-on bonus of $20,000 for eligible new hires. Pay range: $26.06–$36.81 per hour.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Certified First Assistant - CST/CSFA.
• ND UAP:ND license.
• BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & Maintain: Set up procedure rooms with all necessary instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
• Sterile Expertise: Demonstrate mastery of sterile technique, sterilization processes, environmental controls, and instrument decontamination.
• Team Support: Establish and maintain an organized sterile field, ensuring all team members adhere to sterile environment protocols.
• Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons by providing visualization of the surgical wound, aiding with wound closure, and applying sterile dressings.
• Anatomy & Instrumentation: Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to surgical procedures, and advance understanding of instrumentation across various services.
• Accuracy & Safety: Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to established procedures.

As our Surgical Tech at CHI Williston Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you.

The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

Pay Range

$26.06 - $36.81 /hour
