Job summary

Unifeye Vision Partners in Colton, CA seeks a Surgical Technician to prepare supplies and equipment for ambulatory surgeries. You will assist physicians in maintaining a sterile field, label medications on the sterile field, and coordinate with OR staff to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Required: HS or GED, completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program, and experience preferred. Certification and BCLS may be required within 60 days.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program.
• One year of Surgical Technician experience preferred.
• Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the mission, vision and values of the company.
• Gathers needed procedure appropriate supplies for each surgery.
• Opens surgical supplies, sets up sterile field and maintains sterile field using aseptic technique.
• Anticipates the surgeons needs and requests appropriate supplies prior to their immediate need.
• Disposes of sharps and hazardous materials according to policy and utilizes PPE.
• Washes and reprocesses instrumentation according to established standards and ASC policy.
• Assists in end of day clean up procedures.
• This position is in office, remote is not available.
