Job summary

Kansas Orthopaedic Center PA in Wichita, KS is seeking a Surgical Technician for our ambulatory surgery center. Typical schedule is 32-40 hours per week, usually 7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday - Thursday with no weekends or holidays.

Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program and certification or eligibility to sit for the exam; 1 year of experience preferred, orthopaedic experience helpful for new graduates as well.

Surgical Technician (Full Time)
Location: Wichita, KS: West Office (Main Office)

Surgical Technician needed for our ambulatory surgery center for orthopaedic procedures. Typical schedule is 32-40 hours per week (full-time with benefits), usually 7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday - Thursday with occasional earlier starts.No weekends, no holidays and no call!

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs key functions during surgical procedures as assigned.
• Maintains availability for room turnover and set up of surgical cases.
• Maintains compliance with OSHA standards for healthcare facilities.
• Participate in educational opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the center.
• Punctual attendance at department staff meetings, facility inservices and scheduled shifts.
• Personally adhere to the standards, rules, and procedures of the KOC Compliance and HIPAA Programs and contribute to ensuring the organizational commitment to compliance and HIPAA regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of accredited school of Surgical Technology
• Surgical Technology certification or eligibility to sit for exam
• 1 year experience preferred, previous orthopaedic experience helpful - open to new and recent graduates as well!
