Job summary

Twin County Regional Healthcare, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Surgical Technician for full-time day shifts in Galax, VA. You will assist the surgical team, support patient safety, and help prepare rooms and equipment for procedures.

What We're Looking For

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Reports to the Director of Surgery/OR.

Minimum Requirements

Required Skills:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a surgical technology program required.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

• Surgical Tech certification required for the state of Virginia.
• BCLS preferred.

Required Work Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months prior facility experience preferred.
