Job summary

San Antonio Regional Hospital is seeking a Surgical Tech to assist with patient care in the operating room and provide essential technical support to the surgical team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or approved Surgical Technology course), and a current AHA BLS card. Prior experience in a surgical scrub role or completed Surgical Technology program is preferred to thrive in our fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED or approved Surgical Technology course accepted.
• Experience: 6 months in surgical scrub or completion of Surgical Tech course.
• Knowledge: Aseptic technique in the surgical setting.
• License/Certifications: AHA BLS card required.
• Equipment: None.
• Physical: Must be able to perform essential physical job requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required. In lieu of High school diploma or GED, completion of approved Surgical Technology course will be accepted.

Experience: Minimum 6 month’s experience in the surgical scrub role setting or completion of a course for Surgical Techology.

Knowledge and Skills: Aseptic technique in the surgical setting. Able to work in the fast paced environment and manage/prioritize/complete work assignments and other duties as assigned.

License/Certifications: A current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is required.

Equipment: None.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical job requirements.

PAY RANGE

$25.83 - $38.75

Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
