Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care is seeking a Surgery Technician to support the operating team by preparing sterile fields, passing instruments, and assisting with procedures. You will help maintain aseptic technique and ensure the readiness of equipment and supplies for surgeries.

The role requires Surgical Technician certification and CPR/BLS, with a preferred high school diploma or GED and an accredited surgical technology program.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgery Technician is required.
• CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor is required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; accredited surgical technology program required.
• Experience as a scrub technician and in operating rooms is preferred.
• Additional certifications such as CNA are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical cases by assembling supplies and equipment.
• Maintain sterile fields and assist during procedures.
• Perform instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with nursing staff.
• Transport patients and perform clerical duties as needed.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Assist with housekeeping duties related to the operating environment.
