Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician to sterilize surgical equipment, arrange instruments, and adjust tools to ensure devices function properly. This contract role supports healthcare facilities across Oregon with flexible work settings.

Requirements include Surgical Technologist certification where required, CPR, and a biology-related degree or equivalent; travel to locations like Eugene, Corvallis, and Hermiston may be

• Certification as Surgical Technologist as required by state or client.
• Preference for 1 year experience as Surgical Technician (Tissue Processing Technologist – only).
• Degree in biology-related field with Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Complies with relevant professional standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize surgical equipment and prepare instruments for procedures.
• Arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure devices function properly.

Job description

The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician isresponsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgicalequipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices arefunctioning properly.

• Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per stateand/or client requirement
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred(Tissue Processing Technologist – only)
• Degree in biology related field which includes a degree /certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
