Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Sterile Processing Technician for a contract full-time position in Stanford, CA. The role includes decontamination, linen-pack assembly, and operation of steam, EtO and other sterilization methods, while maintaining instrument inventory and supporting daily unit operations.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, state certifications as required, IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification if required, CPR, and being at least 18 years old.

• Certification as required by state regulations or contract specifications

Responsibilities

• Decontamination of instruments and equipment.
• Assemble linen packs and manage sterilization processes (steam, ETO, etc.).
• Maintain inventory for instrument assembly and support daily unit operations.
• Provide customer service and assist in unit operations.

Skills

Sterile processing experience

One year experience preferred

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification (may be required)

Location: Stanford, CA

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible fordecontamination, assembly of linen packs, operation of steam, ETO and otherforms of sterilization. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains adequateinventory for assembly of instruments and equipment and performs multiple tasksthat assist in the daily operation of all units as well as being responsiblefor customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent?
• Certification as required by state regulations or contractspecifications?
• Certification for sterile processing technicians by theInternational Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management(IAHCSMM) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution(CBSPD) may be required
• One (1) year of experience in sterile processing preferred?
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
