Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Traveling Surgical Technician in Shelton, WA. The role focuses on sterilization of surgical equipment, arranging instruments, and ensuring all tools function and meet safety standards.

The candidate should have a Surgical Technologist certification, a biology-related degree (preferred), and CPR where applicable, with a minimum of 1 year experience. This travel position offers competitive pay and benefits. The contract is 8 weeks with a weekly pay schedule.

Qualifications

• Certification as Surgical Technologist as required by state or client
• At least 1 year experience as Surgical Technician
• Biology-related degree with Surgical Technologist certification preferred
• CPR certification current if applicable
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest X-ray if applicable
• Health certificate current per contract or regulation
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Sterilize surgical equipment and ensure devices function properly
• Arrange surgical equipment and prepare tools for procedures
• Maintain and inspect tissue processing equipment as applicable
• Adhere to all safety and infection control standards

Location: Shelton, WA

The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per stateand/or client requirement
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred(Tissue Processing Technologist — only)
• Degree in biology related field which includes a degree /certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
