Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in Houston, TX. You will perform decontamination, assemble instrument packs, and operate steam, ETO and other sterilization methods while ensuring inventory for daily operations.

This role involves hospital-based duties and customer service support across units. Qualifications include a high school diploma, CPR as applicable, and regulatory certifications; one year of sterile processing experience is preferred, plus

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Certification as required by state regulations or contract specifications.
• IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification may be required.
• One year of experience in sterile processing preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination and assembly of linen packs.
• Operate steam, ETO and other sterilization methods.
• Maintain adequate inventory for instrument sets.
• Provide customer service and support daily operations.

Location: Houston, TX

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible fordecontamination, assembly of linen packs, operation of steam, ETO and otherforms of sterilization. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains adequateinventory for assembly of instruments and equipment and performs multiple tasksthat assist in the daily operation of all units as well as being responsiblefor customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent?




• Certification as required by state regulations or contractspecifications?




• Certification for sterile processing technicians by theInternational Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management(IAHCSMM) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution(CBSPD) may be required




• One (1) year of experience in sterile processing preferred?




• Current CPR if applicable




• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable




• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)




• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements




• Must be at least 18 years of age
