Responsibilities

• Individualize preoperative planning and prepare for surgical intervention to meet the needs of each patient and physician.
• Prepare surgical suite/clinical area and all supplies/equipment to ensure environmental safety for patients and staff.
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon.
• Display dexterity in the use of surgical instruments throughout procedures.
• Participate in counting according to policy, as well as all aspects of Central Sterile including decontamination, wrapping, sterilization, and biological monitoring.
