Job description

Madison Regional Health System is seeking a full-time or part-time Surgical Technician in the Operating Room to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.

Our Surgical Tech is an essential part of our OR team and is responsible for caring for patients of various ages: infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Function as a surgical tech during operative and other invasive procedures. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, great telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential. Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures in a timely fashion, assists the surgeon during surgical procedures, maintains a sterile field at all times in the procedure area. South Dakota surgical technician license and CPR certification is required. Experience is necessary for this position.

The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity. Exposure to infectious disease, body fluids, odors, and dust.
