Ascension in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an on-site Surgical Tech to help maintain a sterile surgical environment and support operating room readiness. The role involves terminal cleaning, patient-transporter duties, and inventory management to ensure smooth procedures.

The ideal candidate has NBSTSA credentialing preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of related experience. Excellent teamwork and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform terminal cleaning of each operating room daily and decontaminate furniture, equipment and air vents.
• Transport case carts, equipment and supplies and dispose of hazardous waste per policy.
• Monitor and maintain supply inventories at a suitable par level.
• Provide physical assistance for patient positioning and movement as directed by nursing staff.

Job Description

Perform a variety of duties in surgical services to maintain a well-supplied, sterile environment.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform terminal cleaning of each operating room daily, including thorough decontamination of furniture, equipment and air vents.
• Transport case carts, equipment and supplies and dispose of hazardous waste according to policies and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain supply inventories at an appropriate par level.
• Provide physical assistance for patient positioning, lifting and, moving as directed by clinical nursing staff.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting(NBSTSA) preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
