Job summary

Ascension in Indianapolis seeks a Surgical Support role for the Main OR with PRN Days schedule. You will perform terminal cleaning of operating rooms daily, decontaminating furniture, equipment and air vents, and transport case carts and supplies while following hazardous waste procedures.

You will also support patient positioning and mobility as directed by clinical nursing staff, and ensure supply inventories stay at par levels to support OR readiness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Preferred credentials: BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) and NBSTSA Surgical Tech credential.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • None Required.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
