A leading ambulatory surgery center is seeking a Surgical Tech to assist the surgical team and provide patient care. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with health standards. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication skills and relevant experience.
Clarkston Surgery Center - is an established ambulatory surgery center (ASC) in operation since 2009. The staff of this ASC are highly-trained professionals who are committed to creating and working in a postive work environment. Clarkston Surgery Center provides the highest level of surgical services. The staff works to continuously improve quality and service by focusing on the processes that are important in meeting the needs of patients, their families and physicans on staff at the facility.
Job Summary: Assists the surgical team before, during, and after the surgical procedure. Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Prepares equipment and supplies prior to the case. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include, but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments, serving on committees, and participating in quality improvement projects.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications: High school graduate, CST or six months experience. Certification preferred, current CPR. Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.

Portrays Center in a positive light to others. Avoids being involved in gossip spreading or conversations that promote discord of staff members. Maintains professional conduct and appearance.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, physicians and other employees.
