Good Shepherd Health Care System is seeking a Surgical Tech Vascular Coordinator - Scrub Tech 7. The role supports surgeons and teams in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Position requires OR experience, at least 3 years in vascular cases, and BLS certification. On-call duties may include housing when overnight. 40-hour week with some on-call rotation, working hours 0630–1500, Mon–Fri.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Finish Technology Program.
• Minimum of 1 year operating room experience (student experience allowed).
• 3 years vascular experience required.
• BLS certification required; surgery tech certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist surgeon, patient, or team with surgical procedures.
• Perform varied technical duties in perioperative care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and teamwork during procedures.

Compensation Range: Min $32.56 - Max $54.52

DEFINITION OF POSITION:

Performs a variety of technical duties to assist the surgeon, patient or team with surgical procedures.

Working Conditions

Inside environment, protected from the weather but not necessarily temperature changes. Subject to frequent exposure to infection, contagious disease, and hazardous materials and equipment. Occasionally subject to combative patients. Variable noise levels. Also subject to rapid pace, multiple stimuli, unpredictable environment, and critical situations.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited school or Surgical Finish Technology Program,

Experience

Required: Must possess a minimum of one year current operating room experience (student experience allowed). 3 years Vascular Experience Required.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or registration.

Required: BLS

Desired: Certification as Surgery Tech.

Equipment/Tools/Work Aides

Includes but is not limited to surgical instruments and equipment, video equipment, and sterilizers.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

Ability to provide care for the patient’s age-specific, cultural physical and psychosocial well-being during the perioperative phase.

Other

Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred. Ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
