Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Current healthcare provider CPR (AHA/ARC/MTN) certification.
• Texas requirements for practicing surgical technology.

Responsibilities

• Orient new employees and students to department policies, procedures and safety.
• Assign cases and monitor each orientee's progress.
• Provide staff with educational resources and answer questions.
• Promote patient safety and professional conduct in the OR.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the RN Educator and Unit Manager.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current.
