Job summary

Tracy Surgery Center in Tracy, CA is seeking a Surgical Tech / SPD with SPD experience or willingness to learn for a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience and CPR certification.

Under physician or RN supervision, surgical technologists prepare operating rooms, set up instruments, assist during procedures, and help with patient transfer and post-operative care. CST certification is preferred, and graduate of an accredited technologist program is

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
CPR certification required.
Minimum 1 year experience in surgical tech.

Responsibilities

Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
Set up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
Tend to patient during pre-operation procedures and assist surgeons and nurses.
Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and ensure proper functioning.
Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and transfer to operating room.
Pass instruments to surgeons and assistants; count supplies.
Operate sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment.
Post-operation transfer to recovery and restock of OR.
