Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains the operating room and supplies for surgical cases.
• Assists the surgeon by passing instruments and maintaining asepsis.
• Handles instruments with proper sterilization, inspection and assembly.
• Performs counts with the nurse to ensure patient safety.
• Assists in patient positioning and draping for procedures.
• Maintains physician preference cards and readiness of instruments.
• Sterilizes and reprocesses instruments following protocols.
• Restocks supplies and ensures ORs are ready for next cases.
• Complies with policies and maintains reliability.
