Job summary

Ashley Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Surgical Tech for a full-time position in Vernal, Utah. The role requires maintaining sterile technique, passing instruments, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably graduation from a surgical technology program. BLS certification within one month of hire is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; surgical technologists graduate from a surgical technology program.
• Candidates must show ability to think critically, judge decisively, and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the sterile field and aseptic technique in the operating room.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Set up the operating room before procedures and keep the sterile table organized.
• Prepare patients for surgery, transport and position them, and cover with sterile drapes.
• Adhere to hospital standards and participate in in-service trainings.
