Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a per diem Surgical Technologist at Winchester Hospital, a Magnet-designated regional facility. You will scrub, maintain sterile fields, and assist the surgical team in the OR, with weekend and holiday rotations.

Required: graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent military program; preferred: 1+ year OR scrub experience; influenza vaccination required. Base hourly pay ranges from $33.50 to $45.09.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or military program.
• Prefer at least one year operating room scrub experience.
• Per diem role including weekend and holiday rotations.
• Vaccination against influenza is required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves and reviews case cart to ensure supplies and sterile equipment are available.
• Opens sterile supplies according to aseptic technique for procedures.
• Scrubs for cases, wearing sterile gown and gloves, and assists surgeons.
• Prepares and maintains a sterile surgical field.
• Assists in positioning the patient and handling instruments as directed.
