Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support a highly skilled operating room team. You will prepare the surgical suite and assist during operations, collaborating with a team that values expertise and patient care.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Cardiovascular experience required
  • Pedi or Adult CVOR experience required
  • BCLS/BLS provider accreditation required within 30 days of start

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain the surgical suite with instruments, supplies and advanced equipment
  • Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping focusing on comfort and safety
  • Scrub in and provide instruments, handle specimens and anticipate the team’s needs
  • Monitor patients and equipment during procedures and respond to concerns
  • Uphold sterile technique, turnover rooms efficiently and support a collaborative team environment

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures
  • Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
  • Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs
  • Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns
  • Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment
What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist
  • Current CST or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BCLS provider
  • 2+ years of Cardiovascular experience in the role is required
  • Pedi or Adult CVOR experience Required
