Job summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery delivers high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of the Circulating RN. You will prepare the surgical suite, position the patient, and hand instruments to the team while maintaining a sterile field and accurate instrument counts.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, vocational training in surgical technology, current certification, and BLS. Full-time, day shift with weekends rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Vocational training program in Surgical Technology.
• Currently certified as Surgical Technician or Surgical Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• The Certified Surgical Technologist delivers high quality, patient-centered care by supporting the surgical team.
• Prepares the surgical suite, positions and prepares the patient, and provides instruments and supplies during the procedure.
• Ensures a sterile field, proper instrument counts, and proper operation of instruments and equipment.
