Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia, seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the OR team as an Scrub Tech. You will prepare sterile fields, assist the RN, and support instrument handling and wound closure in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technology Program graduate or equivalent training.
• Certified Surgical Technologist and Virginia license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set up the sterile surgical field using aseptic technique.
• Assist the circulating RN with operating room setup, equipment and patient positioning.
• Support instrument handling, suturing, passing, dissecting, retracting and wound closure.
• Perform supply management duties in the OR.

Education

Surgical Technology Program graduate

Certified Surgical Technologist and Virginia license

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Hours: Night shift (full-time, weekdays only)
