Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education (GED, homeschool equivalency, etc.).
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment and supplies for planned procedures and ensures setup is ready before surgeon scrubs.
• Supports the surgeon during surgical procedures as a surgical technologist in various specialties.
• Assists the circulating RN with sponge, instrument, needle, and other counts.
• Communicates updates for surgeon preference cards.
