Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and registered nurses, prepare and sterilize instruments, and support the operating room team during procedures.

You will be responsible for turnover, cleaning, decontamination, and maintaining tray inventories, with emphasis on safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Certification through NBSTSA and a formal surgical technology program are required, with at least two years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and formal Surgical Technology program completion.
• NBSTSA certification is required.
• 2+ years of experience preferred or internship in Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical operations and support the team.
• Handle turnover by cleaning, processing, and decontaminating equipment.
• Maintain tray inventories and instrument maintenance per specialty guidelines.
