Job summary

Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Surgical Tech to prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team across a variety of procedures. You will set up instruments, maintain sterility, and support the team to help patients heal.

The Surgery Department operates as a Level One Trauma Center with 24/7 coverage, offering state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative, patient‑focused culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years clinical experience as a surgical technologist.
• High school diploma or GED
• American Heart Association BLS

Responsibilities

• Performs instrument room technician duties as necessary by preparing and setting up case carts. Uses aseptic technique with sterile supplies
• Opens sterile supplies utilizing sterile technique. Sterilizes appropriate camera, scope and cables in the Steris based on physician preferences
• Assists nursing staff in providing patient care
• Performs OR room turnover in an efficient manner
• Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing OR environment and thorough understanding of standard precautions in maintaining OR cleanliness
