Job summary

Ascension Saint Alexius in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Joint Center during day shift. You will set up the OR, pass instruments to surgeons, assist with patient preparation and positioning, and maintain instrument counts to uphold safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years cumulative OR experience or an associate/technical degree.
• Minimum 1 year operating room experience.
• Strong orthopedic service line experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up the operating room with sterile solutions, drapes, and supplies for procedures.
• Efficiently pass required instruments and supplies to surgeons during surgery.
• Assist in preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients for safety and access.
• Maintain organized instrument setups and monitor instrument counts to uphold safety standards.
